01 · THE STORY BEHIND THE PRODUCT

Built differently.

Most mugs are eventually chipped, cracked, or replaced.

The Field Mug is built differently: a hand-stitched full-grain leather sleeve and handle built around a replaceable 16 oz. wide-mouth Ball jar.

If the glass is ever damaged, it can be replaced while the leather remains in use. Over time, the leather darkens, softens, and records the mornings, workdays, and miles carried with it.

02 · MADE TO MEAN SOMETHING

The meaning is chosen first.
The object carries it afterward.

Some are chosen for ourselves. Others are chosen for someone we know well. Either way, the object matters because the meaning behind it matters.
Read more about meaning
Meaning does not have to be loud to matter. A small symbol can hold a belief, a virtue, a season of life, or something worth remembering.

Chosen for yourself or for someone you know well, a Mark becomes a quiet reminder carried through ordinary days—present without needing to explain itself.
Personalization
Choose two initials for the person who will carry the piece. Whether chosen for yourself or given to someone else, the letters make the piece unmistakably theirs.

Each letter is pressed individually using our custom-designed letterforms, making the piece distinctly personal to the one who carries it.

Two initials only. Symbols and initials are never combined.

03 · THE MEANING TRAVELS WITH IT

The story travels with the piece.

Initials can carry a person, a family, a memory, or simply the certainty that the Field Mug was made for the one who will use it.

Carefully packaged and ready to give or keep, it arrives complete—and becomes more personal with every day it is carried.

Care Care for the leather, replace the jar when needed, and carry it for years.
Vegetable-tanned leather is built to be used, carried, and changed by time. It will soften, deepen in color, and record the marks of daily life along the way.

Keep the leather sleeve away from prolonged moisture, direct heat, and excessive sun. If the leather becomes wet, allow it to air dry naturally—never use a hair dryer or other heat source.

The Ball jar and lid can be removed from the leather sleeve for normal cleaning or replacement. Condition the leather sparingly with a quality leather conditioner when it begins to feel dry. We use Smith’s Leather Balm.
